Hang Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury, from the nearest tree

Cute Rowan dolls for Christmas trees.
( In my opinion, Rowan Williams, a poet, a scholar, literary, brilliant and decent is one of the treasures of contemporary Anglicanism, and I would hate to see him go. Whom would they replace him with?)

  1. Ah. A teasing title for an actually quite friendly post.

Good point, though. If RW was to finally throw in the towel, who would be up to the challenge of following him?

  2. Ah, Charlie, I shamelessly borrowed your doll collection. Yes, it's a friendly post. As a lay Christian, I think he's a charming, personable and brilliant Archbishop of Canterbury, but then, I've not had to swear an oath of allegiance to him as Bishops, I'm told, have to.
