  2. We are surrounded by fields and farmland. But keeping the hedges trimmed, and grass mowed is quite a chore. We've finally broken down this year, and hire a gardener to do the heavy work!!

  3. Stunning, is the perfect word for these photos! I agree, what a view! You and I seem to be on the same page, Anita. We're sorting, sorting and having returned from a shorter trip to Canada, I'm back sorting, now books into categories...Jon took many boxes to our local library and I'm inspired to walk even in the coldest weather. We visited some friends who were not of our faith last week and I realized I'm losing some of the scripture I memorized a lifetime ago, want to get that firmed up this year also.
    Love you.

  4. Came back to look at those lovely clouds again. It's cloudy here, but more like one massive sheet, no animated shapes like in your photos.

I'm glad you were able to hire a gardener, that's a nice solution, actually, and worth every penny.

Mary--the scripture memorization, I hope to work on that this year as well. A few nights ago I laid in bed reciting Psalm 1 to myself, a passage memorized when I was about 8 yrs old, and I did struggle to remember the whole thing, but it is amazing what comes back even after 30+ years.

Blessings to you and your dear readers, Anita!

  5. One more thing, nothing to do with this post, but I thought you'd enjoy the blog of a friend, Anna, who is in India right now, traveling to visit family, etc. She (and her husband, too, I believe) are converted Indian Hindus, and I think you'd enjoy her story:

  6. @Mary, I have started listening to scripture while I tidy my bedroom, or I jog in place and listen to a couple of chapters of Ephesians when I feel the need to stretch in between reading and writing sessions. It's fun to immerse myself in Scripture like that--in little bits of otherwise "wasted" or spare time.

Thanks for the blog rec. Jen. Yes, it's amazing how much Scripture comes back from childhood. Blessings to you too!
